Eliminate two steps when setting your sleeves in, ease stitching and regular stitching by sewing sleeves in on your serger. As long as the sleeve piece is down against the feed dogs it naturally gets eased in and with a little practice you can do this too.

Tracy McElfresh is an alterations and fit specialist, Kettering Arts Council member, and Kettering resident.
