DESCRIPTION:Please mark your calendars for our next meet-up. Bring a dish to share or food for yourself if you like. It’s a good idea to bring your own beverage too. Remember you may bring your craft stuff or supplies to give away although if no one takes your things you have to take them back. This group is open to the public for anyone who aspires to sew and craft. We hope to inspire you to grow. New to our sewing community? No fear\, everyone is friendly and each meet-up has at least three new people. Come and make new friends. Again I booked the large meeting room a little early for table and chair set up if you are be to help set up or break down it would be greatly appreciated. SUMMARY:The Refashioned  Sweatshirt
DESCRIPTION:In this hands on class we will transform a thrifted\, vintage\, or well loved sweatshirt into a one of a kind wearable piece. Using fabric scraps and assorted prints\, you will design and stitch an artsy collage to apply to the front of your sweatshirt. This is a great way to use meaningful textiles like family clothing\, baby clothes\, concert t-shirts or favorite fabrics and turn them into something you can wear. \nYou must know how to use\, thread\, and operate a sewing machine. Due to the nature of designing taking time\, unfinished projects will have to be finished at home. \nTuesday\, November 10th 6pm- 8:30pm. \nSupplies \nBasic sewing kit with scissors \nYour machine if you have it or use one of Rosewoods \nUsed\, thrifted\, or vintage sweatshirt \nFabric scraps or meaningful textiles such as clothing from family members or baby clothes \nFabric and thread will be available to use in class if needed.
