The summer of 2016 I studied fast and easy garments that can be made with only one piece of fabric and in all sizes. This class has been very successful and has booked full each time it has been listed.

My Insta Dress Top design can be made in 1 hour with practice. I have made it a 4 hour class so we can relax and have fun during the process. Everyone learns at different speeds so feel confident that you can make your first garment. NEW twist, you will now have the option of pockets! This dress looks awesome with leggings, boots and an infinity scarf.

Some treats will be provided and you are welcome to bring a treat to share.

Skill Level~ Beginner, simply must know how to use your machine

Ages~ 12 and up

Supplies needed~

2 yards of 58″-60″ or wider of moderate stretch knit (pre-washed)

Thread

Ball Point or Jersey knit needles

Sewing Machine (if you need one please let me know, I have a few extra and can reserve one for you to use)

Basic sewing kit w/sharp scissors

Tracy’s Sewing Studio is a very small indie business. We understand that things happen where you may need to reschedule or cancel. I have a strict no refund policy. I can give you credit up to one week before the class. If you need to cancel the week of your class I will not be able to fill your spot, there are no credits 5 full days before the class. Tracy McElfresh is an alterations and fit specialist, Kettering Arts Council member, and Kettering resident. Tracy has a skillset built from multigenerational roots in the sewing and garment industries. Operating out of a studio located inside Rosewood Art Centre she provides alterations, garment design (including a strong passion for swimwear), formal and casual dressmaking, and sewing classes. Tracy founded a meetup group in 2014 called the Dayton Garment Designers Meet Up that is open to all newcomers at any skill level.
