Rosewood has lots to offer during the Rosewood Holiday Arts Festival in Kettering.

My newly renovated space, studio A in the first hallway, will be open to the public and I will be demoing and answering questions most of the day.

Here is my schedule:

11am Scissor Sharpening – I have some amazing tips for keeping those shears in tip top shape!

12pm Pressing – How to use your iron settings, ironing board and how to press different fabrics. I will demo how to efficiently press a white, collared button down and I will show off my splendid pressing tools.

1pm Dressmaking – I will share my passion for my favorite art in the world. I will cover design, fit and conception.

A Rosewood Holiday is back this December to help you get creative with your holiday shopping and discover all that Rosewood Arts Center has to offer.

Featuring artists, demonstrations, art activities, art exhibitions and the traditional Soup Bowl Fundraiser, there is something for everyone. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Tracy McElfresh

Owner at Tracy's Sewing Studio

Tracy McElfresh is an alterations and fit specialist, Kettering Arts Council member, and Kettering resident. Tracy has a skillset built from multigenerational roots in the sewing and garment industries. Operating out of a studio located inside Rosewood Art Centre she provides alterations, garment design (including a strong passion for swimwear), formal and casual dressmaking, and sewing classes. Tracy founded a meetup group in 2014 called the Dayton Garment Designers Meet Up that is open to all newcomers at any skill level. In her free time, she is an avid writer and blogger and was a recognized award winner in 2018 as having one of the Best Dressmaker Blogs on the Planet from Blogspot.
