Dayton Dressmaker’s Meet Up April

| FreeHey garment making friends, please join me for a fun evening of sharing and sewing edu at Communitea in Belmont for this months meeting. Dawn the owner is nice enough to host our event for free although tea and snacks are available for purchase. Bring a list of online fabric resorses and a show and tell item.

This group is for anyone who makes their own clothes. All ages, skill levels, genders are welcome. Come learn new skills, make new sewing friends, learn about making clothes that fit but do not cost a fortune.
The Dayton Dressmakers Club is not a free class although you can learn from making sewing friends. It is simply a meet up. We will cover various events including socials, group classes, relevant exhibitions, fabric shopping/day trips, fabric swaps, interesting talks and tips and so much more. Sewing is fun!
We will meet up at various locations around Dayton, every 3rd month at 5:30pm.

Tracy McElfresh is an alterations and fit specialist, Kettering Arts Council member, and Kettering resident. Tracy has a skillset built from multigenerational roots in the sewing and garment industries. Operating out of a studio located inside Rosewood Art Centre she provides alterations, garment design (including a strong passion for swimwear), formal and casual dressmaking, and sewing classes. Tracy founded a meetup group in 2014 called the Dayton Garment Designers Meet Up that is open to all newcomers at any skill level. In her free time, she is an avid writer and blogger and was a recognized award winner in 2018 as having one of the Best Dressmaker Blogs on the Planet from Blogspot.
