Sewing and Fashion Camp
Campers express their sense of fashion with their own creations while learning teh basics of sewing. Each camper will make a skirt and a simple knit top from their own patterns using their own measurements. On the last day of camp, campers unleash their inspiring creations on the stage in a fashion show.

Schedule
Day 1 Sewing Machine Basics
Day 2 and 3 making a skirt and drafting our own patterns to our measurements.
Day 4 making simple tops
Day 5 embellishments, accessories and a fashion show at the end right before parents pick up.
Supplies to bring- small sewing kit including sharp scissors (if you have them) Machines are provided
If you would like to bring fabric you can, we will be using community donated fabric from Rosewood and my private stash.
Owner at Tracy's Sewing Studio
Tracy McElfresh is an alterations and fit specialist, Kettering Arts Council member, and Kettering resident. Tracy has a skillset built from multigenerational roots in the sewing and garment industries. Operating out of a studio located inside Rosewood Art Centre she provides alterations, garment design (including a strong passion for swimwear), formal and casual dressmaking, and sewing classes. Tracy founded a meetup group in 2014 called the Dayton Garment Designers Meet Up that is open to all newcomers at any skill level. In her free time, she is an avid writer and blogger and was a recognized award winner in 2018 as having one of the Best Dressmaker Blogs on the Planet from Blogspot.
