Learn the art of mending with Tracy McElfresh. Studentsfocus on visible mending – using contrasting or complementary fabrics and threads to artfully mend a garment, making is as good as new, or maybe even a little better!
Students leave this workshop having learned several essential stitches used in mending garments and linens, as well as some tips and tricks to help you along the way.
Visible mending is a beautiful way to repair well-loved garments or linens and make them even better than new by incorporating interesting fabrics or threads as you mend. It’s a great way to use up small pieces of fabric or a stash of brightly colored embroidery thread.
All supplies are included for use during this class you simply bring a few rips and mends to practice on.
