

Swim Suit Replica Basics Sew a Long

Come learn the basics of making your own swim wear in a fun sew-a-long style class. I will show you how to draft your own pattern and practice techniques. We will be focusing on swim bottoms as they are the most challenging.

Requirements- ages 12 and up, must be familiar with using a sewing machine and know the basics.
Supplies to bring-
*Old swim suit that fits you and you don’t mind cutting up.
*1/2 yard of performance knit (outside) (buy cheap to practice on)
*1/2 yard of lining knit or tricot
*1 package of 1/4”-1/2” elastic (since we are just practicing any will do, when you do the real deal you want swimwear or cotton elastic)
*All purpose thread
*Jersey ballpoint or stretch needles size 75/11 or 80/12
*Small sewing kit with sharp scissors
Optional to bring a working machine or use one of Rosewoods
