There are some pieces of clothing we just can’t let go of. A favorite sweater, a collection of ties, a well-worn shirt… they hold stories, memories, and the feeling of someone we love.

With over 25 years of professional sewing experience, I carefully transform those meaningful garments into beautifully crafted memory pillows you can hold onto for years to come.

Each pillow is thoughtfully designed and fully constructed in my smoke-free, pet-free studio inside Rosewood Arts Center. These are not covers—they are complete, finished 16″ x 16″ pillows, made with care, precision, and deep respect for the items you entrust to me.

To begin, I’m offering five signature styles:

• The Sweater Keepsake Pillow – perfect for preserving the warmth of a favorite sweater
• The Signature Tie Memory Pillow – a unique design that highlights the character of cherished ties
• The Classic T-Shirt Memory Pillow – a simple, meaningful way to honor everyday memories
• The Oxford Shirt Memory Pillow – featuring details like buttons, collars, or pockets when possible
• The Jacket Keepsake Pillow – ideal for heavier materials and structured garments

You may also add custom lettering (up to 20 letters) for $20 to personalize your pillow even further.

Turnaround time is approximately six weeks from the time I receive your items. If you need your pillow sooner, an express option is available for an additional $25–$40 depending on your order.

These pillows make incredibly meaningful gifts for loved ones—whether you’re honoring someone’s memory, celebrating a milestone, or preserving something special.

Gift cards are available, making it easy to give a thoughtful, personal gift while allowing the recipient to choose the items that mean the most to them.

How It Works

1. Choose Your Pillow Style
Browse the available memory pillow styles and select the one that best fits your garment and your vision.

2. Place Your Order
Purchase your pillow directly through my website. You can also add custom lettering or choose express service at this time if needed.

3. Prepare Your Items
Make sure your garments are clean and ready to be transformed. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive simple instructions for drop-off or shipping.

4. Drop Off or Ship Your Items
You can schedule an appointment to drop-off at my studio inside Rosewood Arts Center, or ship your items to me if you’re not local.

5. Creation Begins
Once I receive your items, your place in my production schedule is secured. Each pillow is carefully designed and professionally sewn with attention to detail and respect for your materials.

6. Completion & Return
Your finished pillow will be ready in approximately six weeks. If you selected express service, your order will be completed sooner.
You’ll be notified when your pillow is ready for pickup or shipment.

To make the process simple and smooth, here are a few guidelines for the items you send:

Garments per Pillow
Each pillow requires enough usable fabric to create a 16″ x 16″ finished pillow. In most cases, this means one adult-sized garment (approximately equivalent to an 18″ x 18″ usable area). Some styles, like the tie pillow, will use multiple pieces. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and I’m happy to guide you.

Condition of Items
Please send items that are clean and in wearable condition. Light wear is expected and often adds to the character, but heavily damaged or soiled items should be discussed with me ahead of time.

Delicate or Sentimental Items
I understand these items are often irreplaceable. I take great care when working with delicate or meaningful garments, but please note that fragile fabrics may need to be stabilized or adjusted during the process to ensure a lasting result.

If There Isn’t Enough Usable Fabric
If I receive an item and there isn’t enough usable fabric to complete the pillow, I will contact you to discuss options. This may include incorporating another garment, adjusting the design, or returning the item.

Pricing and Options

Each memory pillow is professionally designed and fully constructed as a finished 16″ x 16″ pillow, created with care and attention to the garments you provide.

Base Pricing
Professional Memory Pillows start at $75–$150 each, depending on the style and materials.

Add-Ons

Custom lettering (up to 15 letters): $20
Heart Poem Patch: $25
Need it sooner? Add Express Service for $45 and your order will be moved to the front of my sewing queue. (Please note: this speeds up production time, not shipping.) Express service: $35

Pickup & Shipping
Local pickup is available by appointment at my studio inside Rosewood Arts Center.

If you choose to have your pillow shipped, return shipping is available. If you would like any remaining fabric or scraps returned with your order, there is an additional $15 fee.

Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround is approximately 6 weeks from the time your items are received.
Express service is available if you need your order sooner.

Gift Cards Available
Memory pillows make meaningful, personal gifts. Gift cards are available so your recipient can choose the items that matter most to them.

Important Information

Because the garments you send are often deeply meaningful and one-of-a-kind, I want to share a few important details before you place your order.

Condition of Garments
Please send items that are clean and in wearable condition. Many memory items show signs of age and wear, which is completely understandable. While I use professional techniques to stabilize fabrics when needed, I cannot guarantee the strength or durability of older or delicate materials.

Working with Irreplaceable Items
All items are handled with great care and respect. However, due to the nature of previously worn garments, there may be unseen weaknesses in the fabric. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that Tracy’s Sewing Studio LLC is not responsible for damage that may occur due to the condition or age of the materials.

Design Interpretation
Each pillow is custom made based on the garment(s) you provide. I do my best to incorporate special features such as buttons, collars, pockets, or unique details whenever possible. Final design and layout are at my discretion to ensure the best overall result.

Leftover Materials
If you would like any remaining fabric returned, there is a $15 fee to cover additional shipping. Otherwise, small remnants may not be returned.

Turnaround Time
Turnaround time is approximately 6 weeks from the time your items are received. This is an estimate and may vary slightly depending on workload and order volume. Express services are available for an additional fee.

Order Changes & Cancellations
Due to the custom nature of memory pillows, orders cannot be changed or canceled once work has begun.
