For almost two decades I’ve worked in sewing and alterations. Along the way I’ve taught classes, hosted fabric swaps, connected with my community through creativity, and helped people care for clothing that mattered to them.

But over the last few years, something shifted.

I found myself wanting to create work that felt more meaningful. Something personal. Something that could bring comfort during seasons of grief, change, and remembrance.

As my mother has battled ovarian cancer over the last three years, life has become much more fragile and precious to me. Clothing is no longer just fabric. A favorite shirt still smells like someone you love. A worn flannel still holds memories of hugs, holidays, and everyday moments that suddenly mean everything.

That is what led me here.

I now create custom memory pillows and keepsakes from meaningful clothing and fabrics. These pieces are made to preserve memories in a way you can hold onto, display in your home, or gift to someone who needs comfort.

Every pillow is carefully handmade by me using clothing that holds sentimental value. Memorial shirts, baby clothes, uniforms, dresses, flannels, jackets, and other meaningful fabrics can all become part of something lasting.

No two pieces are ever the same because every story is different.

My goal is to make the process simple and thoughtful for families. Customers can order directly through my website and receive instructions for mailing or dropping off fabrics. I also include a print form with orders to help gather the details and special requests for each keepsake.

I know how emotional it can feel to hand over clothing that belonged to someone you love. I treat every item with great care and respect from the moment it arrives in my studio.

These memory pillows are not just decorative pieces. They are reminders of people, moments, and connections that matter deeply. They are made to be hugged, displayed, gifted, and cherished for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this new chapter already. It means more than I can say to create something that helps others hold onto the people they love.

Behind the scenes~

One of my dresses was excepeted in the juried landscape show, The View, Rosewood Art Center, Kettering, Ohio. The show is on view June 8th-July 18th. I entered three gowns made from natural, heritage fabrics, many times passed down from loved ones. The white linen dress was accepted out of the three.
