Time to do a round up of awesome local artists, sewers, crafters, photographers and fashion gurus. Check us out as we band together and invite you to get to know us.

Katie Stafinaik

Owner and creator of Prairie Rose & Marigold. She is an ecocentric textile artist with a budding funky comfort clothing line. Her brightly colored work spans from new and upcycled clothing, jewelry, and for other sewists: sewing labels and spoonflower fabric prints. Based in West Milton, she is open for custom dyeing and sewing projects. See more on Instagram @prairieroseandmarigold or find her work in store at Ivy 5571 Far Hills Avenue in Dayton.

Jenna Stettler

Owner of Jenna’s Handmade Masks. I started making masks 3 years ago for myself due to having multiple sclerosis and a friend’s daughter who has a immune compromised disease.
When covid-19 hit we became more popular and grew into more things than just masks. We now make blankets, cat toys, towels, heating pads, hair scrunchies, and soon: Easter bunnys and cloth baskets.
I personally love it because I didn’t set up to make a profit, I set it up to help others and to support our local rescues and foster kittens/cats we were had.
1/4 of money made goes to supplies and repair, rest goes to our fosters and a rescue/tnr program of our choosing.

We are based out of Springboro, Ohio but we ship all over the US only.

Tracy McElfresh

Hi, I’m Tracy and this is my sewing blog. My favorite things to create and sell are time period dresses, dress replicas and swimwear. My primary job is alterations, mending, and fit – although I also teach group sewing classes, serve on the Kettering Arts Council, make sewing tips videos on YouTube and facilitate The Dayton Garment Designers Meet Up Group. These are just a few of our members which I also now call friends! If your like to be crafty also please look for us in Facebook groups.

Almost forgot, I design awesome fabric you can buy through Spoonflower.

Thank you to all that took the time to submit to this weeks story and thank you for reading,
